Pregnancy classes for first-time mothers
Everything nobody tells you in a ten-minute appointment, explained in order, from the first trimester through the first six weeks with a newborn.
You are not behind. Nobody is born knowing this.
A first pregnancy involves an extraordinary amount of information arriving out of order, from a doctor with five minutes, a family with strong views and an internet that contradicts itself. Most first-time mothers describe the same feeling: that everyone else already knows something they missed.
Our program puts it in sequence. What is happening this month, what to expect next month, what labour actually involves, what a newborn actually does. You learn it at the pace the pregnancy goes, with somewhere to ask the questions that feel too small to bother a doctor with.
What you will actually learn
What is normal, month by month
Symptoms, tests and changes explained before they happen rather than after.
How labour really works
Stages, timing, interventions and what each decision in the delivery room means.
Breathing you can rely on
Lamaze breathing practised until it is automatic, not learned on the day.
Breastfeeding before the birth
Latching, supply and the first 48 hours, taught while you still have time to absorb it.
Newborn care from zero
Bathing, swaddling, sleep, crying and when something is genuinely wrong.
Your own recovery
The fourth trimester, which almost nobody prepares first-time mothers for.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have never exercised. Can I start now?
Yes. A large share of our mothers begin exercising for the first time during pregnancy, and classes are taught assuming exactly that.
When should a first-time mother start classes?
Second trimester is the most common starting point, once the early nausea settles. With clearance you can begin earlier.
Is it normal to feel this anxious?
Very. Anxiety in a first pregnancy is close to universal, which is why meditation and the Saturday Q&A are part of the program rather than extras.
Should my husband attend?
For labour preparation and newborn care, yes. He will be the one supporting you through both.
What if I have a caesarean?
The program covers planned and unplanned caesarean birth, recovery and breastfeeding after surgery.
